The common repair method for tooth surface wear of precision gears are mainly composed of these four methods:adjustment transposition method,modified cutting method, inlay repair and surfacing repair method.
1.Adjustment transposition method: it is mainly to change the orientation of the worn tooth surface, and then work with the part of the gear that has not been worn or slightly worn. It is more suitable for the repair of gear transmission with wear on the tooth surface caused by unidirectional running stress. The gear can also be adjusted to the correct position by adding an adjusting washer on the shaft on which the gear is installed without adding a structure, but it is better to turn it over in pairs, or replace the prefabricated matching gear with a new gear to ensure the normal meshing of the gear.
2.Modified cutting method: the method of technical height displacement can be applied to turn the outer diameter of the scrapped large gear to a certain value, and then gear hobbing again. The pitted part of the tooth surface is cut off. The large gear is subject to negative displacement and the small gear is subject to positive displacement. After processing, it will become a new gear pair with no change in the influence of transmission system parameters, so that the work of the large gear can be improved, repaired and invested.
3.Inlay repair method: for gears with low load and low speed, after knocking out individual teeth, when repairing, the tooth root of the bad gear shall be planed out of the trapezoidal groove on the planer, and pressed into the same new gear blank with a certain tightness, welded firmly or bolted, processed and reshaped.
4.Surfacing repair method: if the tooth surface of individual gears is worn or the wear of gears on both sides exceeds the limit, one or more layers of metal can be deposited on all or part of the gear surface according to the damage of the gear.
