What is the difference between planetary reducer and turbine reducer?

In the reduction equipment, worm gear reducer and planetary reducer are commonly used, which mainly have the functions of reducing speed and increasing torque. The gearbox structure, transmission parameters and specifications of the two reducers are different, and the scope of application is also different. Here are the differences between planetary reducer and turbine reducer!

Planetary reducer is based on power transmission and uses the speed converter of gear to reduce the number of revolutions of motor to the required number of revolutions, so as to obtain large torque. The pinion on the transmission shaft of the planetary reducer meshes with the big gear on the output shaft to achieve the purpose of deceleration.

Worm gear reducer, also known as worm gear reducer, is a power transmission component, which can be used together with ordinary motor,  automatic transmission and other transmission products. Usually used in high torque low-speed transmission mechanism, high-speed power such as motor passes through worm gear reducer to reduce the speed and improve the output torque. The worm gear reducer is installed between the motor and the working unit. The motor transmits power, and the worm gear reducer reduces the speed, so as to transmit the speed and torque from the output shaft to the working unit.

Difference between planetary reducer and worm gear reducer:

1. The internal structure is completely different: the planetary reducer is a cylindrical gear structure and the turbine reducer is a worm gear structure. Technically, the bearing capacity of the planetary reducer is higher than that of the turbine reducer in precision and stability.

2. Different features: the planetary reducer has compact structure, small return clearance, high precision, long service life and large rated output torque. The worm gear reducer has reverse self-locking function and large reduction ratio. The input shaft and output shaft are not on the same shaft or plane. However, the total volume is large, the transmission efficiency is low and the accuracy is poor.
