First of all, there are two ways to install precision gears, one is cold installation, the other is hot installation. When it comes to this kind of cold assembly, it is to press the shaft into the gear with a press against the part with an inner hole on the gear at room temperature. This method is faster, but it also has many disadvantages. For example, in the simplest case, this method is likely to damage the gear or shaft. Even if there is no damage, the gear will be deformed to a certain extent, which has a great impact on the accuracy. At present, this method is generally applicable to machines with small load and no accuracy requirements, and it is absolutely impossible to install gears in this way in machines with high accuracy requirements.

Different from hot charging, it is realized by using the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction. First, heat the gear bore to a certain temperature. Under the action of thermal expansion and cold contraction, the inner hole of the gear will produce thermal expansion. When the size of the inner hole is larger than the maximum outer diameter of the shaft, put the shaft into the gear hole, set the vertical angle of the shaft with the infrared laser, fix it, and wait for the gear to cool down. When cooled, the gear will be securely attached to the shaft. This assembly method will not damage the gear, but is more closely integrated. Generally, it requires high precision for heavy-duty machine tools, so this assembly method is adopted.

When it comes to gear disassembly, it is very simple to use a press. It should be noted that the support point must be selected near the inner hole of the gear, so as to avoid the deformation of the gear in the middle of the way and scrap the whole gear.
