1. To check the size of gear blank, it is mainly to check the diameter of the addendum circle, so as to increase or decrease the diameter of the addendum circle according to the actual diameter of the addendum circle when adjusting the cutting depth, so as to ensure that the tooth thickness of the dividing circle is correct.

2. The reason for clamping and correcting the gear failure is that the gear has shaft type gear failure and disk type blank. For shaft gear blanks, one end can be clamped directly by the three jaw chuck of the dividing head, and the other end can be pressed by the tailstock center

3. Adjust the height, that is, the distance from the center of the three jaw chuck to the working surface should be consistent with the distance from the center of the tailstock to the working surface. If the height dimension is too poor, the milling teeth will be deep and shallow.

It is also the eccentricity of the gear ring relative to the axis line. This eccentricity is caused by the misalignment or large deviation between the two center holes of the part and the rotation center of the workbench during installation. Or because the top and the top hole are poorly manufactured, resulting in poor contact of the locating surface and eccentric, so the ring gear radius runout should be mainly solved from the above reasons. Hobbing is based on the generating principle. The dividing chain from the cutter to the gear blank must ensure the accuracy of movement according to a certain transmission ratio.

The circular guide rail of the hobbing machine workbench is worn, and the axis of the circular guide rail of the indexing worm gear and the workbench is different. Moreover, the tooth surface of the change gear is seriously bumped or the engagement of the change gear is too loose or tight, which will also affect the variance of the common normal.
